Word from Abba: let me do your calling with you

I have put dreams in your heart and made many wonderful plans for your life. But remember little one, that it is not you who complete these plans. You cannot achieve the callings I have for you on your own nor is it my heart for you to do so. Look upon these callings upon your life as an adventure with me. I am your good Father who provides what I command you to do. I am not an army sergeant who expects you to march out and fulfill your duties on your own without any backup. I want to do it all WITH you.

Look upon your calling as a great adventure, an all expense paid trip! Let me be the One to provide what you need, teaches you the skills you need, give you the wisdom you need in order to be successful. Let me be your supply today. Remember to keep on looking to me, remembering that you can not do any of it on your own.

  • Hebrews 12:2 “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
  • Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
  • John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

Word from Abba: life is not a stage, but an embrace

You’ve grown so accustomed to the world’s perspective on life. The world declares that life is a stage and you the main act. But I say that life is an opportunity for you to discover the nooks and crannies of my embrace over and over again. Each day I invite you anew to me, transforming your mind and heart to freely receive from me.

You CAN come to me empty. You CAN come to me weak and broken. You CAN come to me with your ashes. I am Your creator who is familiar with your nature, your brokenness and your ashes.

Though it’s painful to realize you have nothing to give me, to face the hunger in your heart for me, it is this precious revelation of your depravity that gives me permission to pour my abundance into you. It is a gift to know your need of me. So much of the world goes around blind and numb to the truth of the depths of their need for Me. But I am awakening you to your desperate need of Me.

So come with your empty hands and empty cup and I will fill it. Don’t feel guilty or ashamed that you came to me with nothing. For it is my delight and nature to give. I am your source of life!

  • Revelation 21:6, “And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.’”
  • John 4:13-14 “Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
  • Isaiah 55:1 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price.”

Word from Abba: I don’t set you up for failure

I don’t set you up for failure. I invite you into situations and opportunities where you see your lack not to force you into hopelessness, but to an opportunity to encounter my presence and power.

Oftentimes in those situations, you fall into the pit of hopelessness and anxiety and stay in that pit for awhile. When you find yourself feeling anxious and hopeless, all you have to do is to look up to find my countenance shining upon you, my hand that is extended out to you and my heart that is for you, not against you.

Through my Son’s death, there is now no more separation between you and me for this is what I desired, for you to be with me where I am, for you to drink of the living water and never run dry. For you to find your Father, receive your inheritance, for you to have joy and peace not dictated by your circumstances. To stand upon my firm foundation that never shakes though the world may and will crumble all together one day.

Come find and learn my goodness over and over again today!

  • Psalm 44:3 “For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.”
  • John 17:24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.”
  • Luke 6:48 “He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.”

Word from Abba: Joy in the Difficulties

There will be trials and difficulties of all kinds you will face today therefore hold my hand tight and let me help you through each and every challenge. Look up into my eyes of love to be reassured that I am your ever present help in your times of need. You don’t have the strength or the wisdom to handle everything you will face throughout today so don’t put that type of pressure on yourself.

The enemy will try to trap you into thinking you need to handle every task perfectly by yourself in order to please me. But the truth is, my Son has already died for you on the Cross and I love you as I love Him who is perfect and blameless in every way.

Thank me for these difficulties that help you lean into me and see that there is no good in you apart from me. Come to me for all that you need and rediscover my love for you over and over again throughout this day. Come find rest and help in my presence.

  • Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”
  • John 17:23-26 “I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.  And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Word from Abba: Take My Hand

All the promises I’ve spoken over your life are yes and amen. You can hold fast to my hand throughout the day with the assurance that I will never leave you nor forsake you. I’m not waiting for you to “get it right.” But I am waiting for you to come to me and do life with me.

I am your creator, I know you are just dust and that there is no good in you apart from me. I am not expecting you to carry this heavy load and live today separate from me. But I extend to you My hand and embrace faithfully every day.

So come to me today and let us store up treasures in heaven for you to enjoy for all of eternity together. Friendship and intimacy with me is the source of these priceless treasures.

Invite me into today, confident that I am for you.

  • 2 Colossians 2:2-3 “that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
  • Romans 8:31 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
  • 2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

Word from Abba: I Keep My Words

You can hold fast to my words with the assurance that I am faithful to fulfill each and every one of my promises in the Bible. My Word is different from the words of man. My Word does not return to me void. Once it is uttered and recorded, I am faithful to see it through.

You’re used to the trite words of the world. But My Word is sure. I do not play with your heart with these promises that seem too good to be true. I am the uncreated God and I am good. I will be faithful to perfect all that I have begun in you.

So take My Word, dare to believe and have faith in what I’ve promised and watch me fulfill it in your life. Ask me to help you believe and have faith in my goodness today and I will show you today, how I am so good to you and that I care for you.

  • Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
  • Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
  • 2 Timothy 2:13 “if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.”

Word from Abba: Where Are You Looking?

My child turn your gaze upward towards me. Lift up your eyes to see all that I am doing in your life. I am doing a good work in you. All that I do, the things that I give are good.

Though trials may come and difficulty may arise, thank Me for these struggle for I will use to benefit and bless you. As You enter my gates with thanksgiving in your heart, your lips full of thanks and praise will help you rest in Me and find My presence in those times.

There is much more going on than what you can detect and feel. Your feelings are temporary, your understanding is limited. Therefore trust in my promises and who I say I am. Though it may not make sense to your mind, it is my Words that are sure and unchanging. I am Your rock and sure foundation always. Stand upon me by proclaiming these truths over yourself daily. I will not fail you. I am faithful.

  • “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” -Psalm 100:4
  • “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 3:12-14

Word from Abba: I am Your Judge

I alone am your judge. When you stand before me at the judgment seat, the only opinion that matters is mine. So it’s ok to take time to discover what I think about you and see how I have already inscribed these words upon your heart. You have my permission to do less with others and less time in ministry in order to hear My words and thoughts, feel my embrace more clearly.

Cultivating a relationship takes time. It is I who will clear up the cluttered thoughts. I who bring peace to anxious hearts. It is my love that casts out fear. But it takes time my little one.

Come sit with me a little while and let me tell you who I am, and who you are.

  • 1 Peter 2:23 “who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously”
  • Hebrews 10:30 “For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.””
  • Jeremiah 31:33 “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
