Taiwan winter camps are a great resource for families wanting to immerse their children in the culture and language.
Participating in camps in Taiwan is a wonderful way to “turbo charge” rich quality language input and an opportunity for your child to experience a country that speaks Mandarin.
Plus, winter is a much more comfortable time weather wise to travel to the island.
Below is everything you need to know about participating in Taiwan winter camps.
When do Taiwan Winter Camps Take Place?
Winter camp schedules are determined by the Lunar calendar and when Lunar New Year takes place each year. So it varies from year to year.
Be sure to check before you book your flight and make plans.
This is the challenging part for families based in the U.S., Canada or Australia.
Winter breaks in these countries do not line up with Taiwan’s winter break which takes place typically later.
There are a few camps catered towards families overseas though which I will list later in the post.
How Do I Find Taiwan Winter Camps?
You can find Winter camp offerings in the following Facebook groups:
- Taiwan Camps for Kids
- created by Jeanne of Mama Baby Mandarin for overseas families
- 夏令營冬令營推薦
- If you can read Chinese, this is a Taiwanese parents’ Facebook group posting all things winter and summer camp offerings here.
