Online Chinese Christian bookstores are making it easier for parents to find Chinese Christian resources for kids.

No matter where you live in the world, you’re able to access Chinese Christian resources for kids.

Having these books not only will help you teach your kids about God’s Word and His character, but will also help build up your own vocabulary bank for talking about God in Chinese!

Unfortunately, many Bibles and Christian material are being pulled off the shelves in China. Please take a minute to pray for China for the Gospel to go forth in spite of what man is trying to do in that nation.

To make it easier for you to know where to go to start building a Chinese Christian library for your kiddos, below are the bookstores to help you do just that.

The Christian bookstores are organized by continent with information on what types of resources they provide. There are more Chinese Christian bookstores out there, but these are the main ones that have a good amount of quality Chinese Christian material geared towards children.

International

Online Christian bookstores with Chinese Christian materials for kids that provide international shipping.

• Books.com.tw /博客來：
  • Location: Taiwan but will ship items to you really quickly. I received my package in America within days of ordering.
  • Resources: Taiwan’s equivalent of Amazon. They have a good selection of mostly traditional Chinese Christian books for kids. Many times their prices will be cheaper than a Christian online bookstore. They don’t function as a Chinese Christian bookstore but do carry a healthy selection. I’ve purchased from them several times.

• Chinese Bible International / 漢語聖經協會:
  • Location: International (U.S.A, Europe and Hong Kong)
  • Resources: Best source of traditional and simplified Children’s Bibles and Christian books. Also a wonderful selection for adults as well. They have the most user friendly website with the most amount of resources to choose from. You can actually click on the image to get a glimpse of what’s inside on their site.

• JD.com / 京東
  • Location: China
  • Resources: Similar to TaoBao, JD carries loads of resources and products including simplified Children’s books. Here’s a guide to how to order from JD. Take advantage of their 11/11 sale to get the best prices. Lots of parents make bulk orders during this time.

• Logos 基道
  • Location: Hong Kong
  • Resources: Great selection of both traditional & simplified Chinese Christian resources for both children and adults. They provide international shipping with a base of HK $30 (about $4 USD) + processing fee which will be around 35-45% of the cost of the books.

• TaoBao / 淘寶:
  • Location: China
  • Resources: They do carry some materials in simplified Chinese. You can find Chinese christian books by using keywords such as 兒童聖經 or by entering the Chinese title or ISBN number to find what you’re looking for. For detailed instruction on how to purchase books from TaoBao check out this great post. Max Lucado’s books are a great set to buy and also the classic Berestain Bears.

North America

United States

• AFC Bookstore / 使者書房
  • Location: Pennsylvania
  • Resources: Small selection of traditional and simplified Chinese Christian Children’s resources. Most of their materials are geared towards adults.

• Alleluia Bookstore / 榮主書房：
  • Location: California
  • Resources: Small selection of traditional & simplified Christian resources for kids & adults. Most of the books are older. Also have some Chinese children’s books like 睡夢香 which we really enjoy but they are $200 more than their cost in Taiwan. For more information on this series be sure to check out my post on it.

• Asian Book One 亞一書房：
  • Location: Washington State & Oregon
  • Resources: traditional & simplified Christian resources for kids & adults. Lots of bilingual Bibles to choose from including Chinese New Living Translation Bibles 新普及譯本 which is my favorite Chinese Bible since it’s easier to understand than the NIV version. They even have Chinese Adventures in Odyssey cartoons and Veggietales for kids (I’d double check if they’re DVDs or VCDs before ordering). 睡夢香 traditional Chinese Christian book series are also available in their store (for more info on this series check out this post!) and Cosmic Light’s 宇宙光 picture book series on stories of Missionaries to China and Taiwan. Cantonese resources are also available. Website’s slightly hard to navigate.

  • Resources: Best source of traditional and simplified Children’s Bibles and books. Also a wonderful selection for adults as well. • Tien Dao Christian Media Association / 天道福音書房 :
  • Location: California
  • Resources: Small selection of traditional & simplified Christian resources for kids & adults. They’re the only Christian bookstore in America that carries the popular Chinese Jesus Storybook Bible which is our favorite children’s Bible. For a glimpse into some of the books, search for the title in their blog
  • Shipping: Free shipping when you spend over $25.

Canada

• Seed Press / 種籽書訊
  • Location: British Colombia
  • Resources: traditional & simplified Christian resources for kids and adults. They have some of their stock listed but if you’re looking for something you can also ask the via email.

Australia

• Fountain of Grace 恩典之泉
  • Location: Perth
  • Resources: traditional & simplified Christian resources for kids and adults. A small selection of children’s Bibles, Bible comic books and Stream of Praise CDs.

  • Resources: Chinese Bibles and books. Not sure if they have children material. They don’t have a website but a storefront.

• SKS Books Warehouse
  • Location: 315 Outram Rd, #09-03 Tan Boon Liat Building, Singapore 169074
  • Resources: English & simplified Chinese material for adults and kids. They do carry some Chinese children’s books and Bibles including Bernstein Bears and Veggietales in Chinese.

Taiwan

• Campus Books / 校園書局
  • Resources: large selection of traditional Chinese Christian books, resources and Bibles for adults and children. One of the major Christian publishers in Taiwan.

• Elim Bookstore Chain 以林書局
  • Location: Taipei, Taida (also Taipei), Hong Kong
  • Resource: Large selection of Chinese Christian resources for adults and children. Elim is a Taiwanese Christian bookstore chain with a location in Hong Kong as well as in Taiwan. It’s my go to store to hit up when I visit Taiwan to see what the latest Chinese Christian resources are available. Their location in Taipei is jam packed with lots of great Bibles, books, gifts and DVDs! Be sure you stop by when you’re in Taipei.

• Christian Cosmic Light 宇宙光
  • Resources: Cosmic Light is a Taiwanese Christian publishing company. They‘ve published lots of wonderful resources for kids such as 糖果姐姐說故事 series, children’s books on missionaries who served in Taiwan and China

• Heavenly Melody 天韻
  • Resources: produced the 睡夢香 Chinese Christian storybook series which is a great Bible storybook and testimony series for toddlers to young grade schoolers. Check my post on this series to get a glimpse. They also have Chinese Superbook DVDs and Adventures in Odyssey DVDs as well.

Europe

• De Ziremi 禧西利米
  • Location: UK, offers shipping to other countries in Europe
  • Resources: popular Chinese books and Christian books for kids. Store created by a mom also raising her children bilingual in the UK. She saw that Chinese Christian books weren’t readily available in Europe so decided to do something about it! Go support her store!
